Water Pressure Issues – Plumbing services in West Georgia and East Alabama
Water pressure issues can be very frustrating. It may take a long time for your kitchen faucet to fill a pot or you may have to run around in your shower just to get wet because there is very little water coming from your shower head. There are several reasons you could have water pressure issues. If the problem exists with just one of your water fixtures, the problem is more than likely a congested faucet, an issue that is quickly and easily resolved. If your water pressure issues exist throughout your residence or office, the cause may be that the main water valve cutoff is not opened properly or that the pressure reducing valve (prv) has malfunctioned. The most serious and potentially expensive situation that can occur is when old pipes have become corroded to the point that there is very little water that can pass through them. An example of this would be if your residence or office has galvanized iron water pipes in its system. Over the years these pipes experience mineral deposit buildup inside them which can prevent the flow of water almost completely.
